The assembly of the car is proceeding very well. Next week will see the car on its wheels with all mechanical work completed.
One item you Jaguar lovers may be able to help with is the Aluminium Radiator. We have 2 original Aluminium Radiators, but both are leaking and cannot be repaired. Has anyone got a very good original that we can purchase? mail@classic-motor-cars.co.uk

9600HP is almost there - this very exciting project is nearing completion. The finished car looks fantastic, what the atmosphere must have been like at Jaguar at this stage 39 years ago cannot be imagined!

We are there! Yesterday, 16th February 2000,9600HP started and we took our first drive around the block. What a fantastic sight & sound, the car sitting on Dunlop Road Speed RS5 tyres, looking absolutely superb. We now have a few minor details to sort out, before we can begin road testing. The car will be run in for about 400 - 500 miles before we can take it to the rolling road to be finally set up and to make a power run. On the 14th March 2000, 9600HP will make the run back to Geneva, 39 years to the day since its first mad dash!

9600HP left Bridgnorth on Tuesday 14th March for Geneva exactly 39 years after its original run. From Bridgnorth the car went to Jaguar Cars Ltd at Browns Lane for a photo call with the last E Type to be built, which is owned by Jaguar cars. From Browns Lane 9600HP followed the original route to Geneva. The photograph shows 9600HP in Geneva. 9600HP returned to Bridgnorth in the early hours of today 17th March, having covered some 1500 miles faultlessly. It was amazing how many people recognised the car along the route it is truly one of the worlds most famous cars. Next week Autocar magazine are recreating their 150-mph road test this time we are using Millbrook proving ground and not the M1. I will let you know if we make the 150mph. Louise Southan the artist who painted 9600HP in the barn before restoration is just starting to paint 9600HP finished and standing in the park in Geneva, if you would like to reserve a limited edition print please e-mail, fax or telephone.
